A Sympathy Award By VGMA??

Image
We just witnessed the 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) last night. Where, for the very first time, a female artiste won the most prestigious artiste of the year award. This female artiste is no other person than the late songstress, Ebony Reigns. It was such a happy moment for me and her many music lovers until  a friend blurted  out, "oh this one dieerr they gave it to her because she is no more" I was like come on! We are talking about the 'bonyfied' dancehall queen here. Yes, the only Ghanaian female artiste to blow up in a male-dominated industry without a feature from any big artiste. The lady that has worked tirelessly hard and successfully released back-to-back hit songs. Hit songs that have got Ghanaians singing and dancing to date. One of her songs 'Hustle' has over 1 million views on youtube. Yes, we are talking about the 'Maame hw3' hit maker who headlined most news than any other artist in 2017 for her appearance on many...

Jodi-Ann -How I feel about you

Words can't explain How I feel about you. But what I feel in my heart, I know that it is true. We met as strangers, Then became close friends, We developed a bond for each other, A special bond I hope doesn't end. I can't stop smiling, And it's all because of you, Just one message from you, Turns my grey skies, blue. My feelings for you are growing, Each and every day, I really do like you, And hope you feel the same way. Can this be true? Can this be real? I wish I could really explain to you, The way you make me feel. In just a few days, My heart grows fonder of you, One day I hope to utter these 3 words, And those words are, I LOVE YOU.

UEFA has let Sergio Ramos off the hook

Image
( Screenshot: UEFA Champions League Tv broadcast ) After Wednesday's UEFA Champions League game between Real Madrid and Juventus, reports suggested that the Real Madrid skipper, Sergio Ramos could face a ban from UEFA for watching some part of the game from the tunnel while serving a one-match ban. An action that may rule him out of at least one leg of the semi-finals of the Champions League. However, UEFA has decided to let Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos off the hook after revising the referee's report from the clash between Los Blancos and Juventus. The report stated that the player was never at 'pitch level', despite leaving his box to watch the closing stages of the game from the tunnel. With that information now confirmed, UEFA have closed the case and Ramos will be available for selection for both legs of the Champions League semi-finals. Source: MARCA

SCARED

'Not the people but the mind, Not the storm but the silence, Not the answer but the question, Not the result but the reason, I am scared of. Not the real but the dream, Not the moment but the memory, Not the lie but the truth, Not the death but the life, I am scared of. Not the end but the start, Not the strangers but the known, Not the hate but the love, Not the world but the me,  I am scared of.' A poem from the novel 'Everyone Has A Story'

The Prosperity Of A Country Is Dependent On Its Citizenry.

One worm that seems to be eating the very core of the vegetable in our communities(Zongo communities) today is the act of disposing of household wastes in gutters when it rains. People have been accustomed to this practice for a very long time and it has become a part and parcel of them to an extent that even when it drizzles, you'd find them readying their household wastes to be disposed of in gutters. An action that has been overlooked therefore went unpunished. This morning while passing on the Nima-Mamobi Drainage Project, I was greeted by this unpleasant sight at Gotta. I felt ashamed as a member of this community and think we should all bow our heads in shame as religious people knowing the scripture talks about cleanliness being next to Godliness yet our environment is filled with such filth. How close are we to God if what we do is create a mess like this? How can we do this to ourselves as a people and then complain our prayers haven't been answered? There is...
