Fellow Love: Each one, teach one

I met this boy while taking a stroll this morning around the Islamic Training Institute playing all by himself close to the Kanda highway(Traffic light). He had no sandals on and his uniform looked so dirty. I initially walked past but my brotherly love(humanity) didn't allow me to go any further so I approached him and asked why he was playing all alone at a dangerous spot like that while class was in session?

The little boy told me he was sacked by his class teacher for not paying extra classes money. I told him to take me to his teacher I will pay the money so he sits and learns with his peers. When I asked him how much the 'extra classes' money is, to my utmost surprise, he said Ghc1. I got pissed because there was a similar incident on the news last year where a 6year-old pupil, Peter Mensah in the Ashanti region lost both legs while crossing the streets after he was sacked from class because of Ghc2.20. I marched the boy to go and show me this teacher who sacked him from class because of Ghc1 leading him to go and play in a danger zone like the one in question.

He led me to her and when I told her where I had found him and hence am coming to pay the money,  the class teacher said she only told him to go to his senior sister(who is in primary 6) for the money but she didn't know he will end up somewhere else. She thanked me for bringing him to class and said I shouldn't pay for the extra classes money.

The point here is, this simple act is my way of ensuring Betterness in the lives of people in my community (hence Better Must Come being my blog title)
I want to call on all and sundry to endeavour to spread the importance of 'fellow love' wherever you find yourself by reaching out to people in need of help just like the scripture says "be each other's keeper"
I believe through that, we'd make the world a better place than it is because we are ensuring  'Better  Comes' eventually.

  3. Interesting piece.I just don't understand why. People have to always think about gain rather than the effect of what they do have on their society
